Introduction to different types of heat exchangers
Heat exchangers are mainly divided into the following types:
1. Direct contact heat exchanger
Direct contact heat exchanger, also called hybrid heat exchanger, is a device where hot and cold fluids directly contact for heat exchange. It is usually seen that one fluid is a gas, and the other fluid is a liquid with a lower vaporization pressure, and it is easy to separate after heat exchange. For example, in a water cooling tower, hot water and air undergo heat and mass transfer in the process of direct contact to achieve the purpose of cooling water.
2. Energy storage heat exchanger
Abbreviated as accumulator, the principle of this kind of heat exchanger is that after the heating medium reaches a certain temperature by heating the solid substance, the cold medium is heated by the solid substance, and the heat and cold alternately make it achieve the purpose of transferring heat. It is mainly used to recover and utilize the heat of high-temperature exhaust gas.
3. Partition wall heat exchanger
In this type of heat exchanger, the cold and hot media are separated by a solid partition, and heat exchange is carried out through the partition. The amount of this type of heat exchanger is very large, accounting for 99% of the total. According to different structures, it can be divided into tube type and plate type.
